I remember the wait and how unbearable it was to not know, it's a permanent state of limbo, I'm so sorry you are going through this. :-(
After the indictment everything went rather fast as this is a speedy trial district. Indictment to sentencing was 6 months. It sure felt longer than that at times!! :(
Being in limbo was awful, not knowing what was going to happen and it felt like forever! We got to the stage of just wanting it to be over no matter what sentence he got! It is torture but it's not forever. Hope it starts to move quicker soon.
The feds are in no hurry to prosecute this case for several reasons------
1) they think they have all the evidence they need and that evidence will always be there. Some of the evidence is not a case in which they worry about the witnesses getting cold feet and being reluctant to testify, so there is no hurry 2) they know they are wearing down your husband, which they hope will break him financially and break his will to fight, and 3) they are probably waiting for one of his co-defendants to break and drop a dime on the other two. Often in these cases with multiple defendants, one defendant is offered a decent plea in exchange for this testimony and cooperation against the other defendants.
