We accepted a plea deal that resulted in no jail time (thankfully) but has 2 years probation and, as of right now, 10 years on the registry. We have a court date in October to see if they'll agree to expunge everything once he does whatever time they ultimately decide (10 years as of now) since he's never been in any major trouble before, but I don't know how realistic of a hope that really is.
He's meeting with the probation people today and they'll transfer his file to the county we live in. Hopefully he'll know more about what we can and cannot do and we can move on.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone in this group--this has been my comfort zone through the unknown and will continue to be as we middle through all this.

There will be other obstacles, just as there are for just all in life, but together you two can do this.

I've been out of pocket for a couple of days but just wanted to let you know I think this is good news! No prison time - you will have him with you! Cherish every moment.
