My son's PO came to the shop today. He saw I have computer.. yeah, we do mail order. he knows that. And wanted to make sure my son didn't have access to one. Altho 2 weeks ago he said my son should be able to use a computer.
He asked why the lawyer called his office Tuesday. I told him it was to clarify the judge's decision that my son was not to take sex offender treatment.
The PO said he didn't care what they think the judge said.. but my son is going to take treatment.
I hate this guy.
and my lawyer still has not gotten back with me.

Your son is a wise young man. He'll do well in spite of all this craziness, especially with your wonderful support!

My son wants me to look deeper into what the government did to him. I'm going to try to get the initial documents the ICE agent did when he found my son with 2319 'suspect cp'. My son wants to fight back and get his freedom back. I'll do everything I can to help him with that. Not sure what we can do, but with $$ and all the documents maybe our new attorney can try some things. But first there is this SO treatment. And when that's dealt with we're going to try to chip away from the rest. Who knows what's possible. But not trying is something I won't be a part of.
Fight the good fight but be a little pessimistic. The Feds have very deep pockets. Your son is probably past the point of being able to file an appeal. Time is probably up. But, he may be able to file ineffective counsel or malfeasance on the part of ICE and the prosecutors if falsification can be proved.
Remember, they pursued him because they had invested time and money, not because he was guilty. And....they were looking for an easy win. All CP cases are an easy win.
There are a couple issues in there, as well as the one cp with a 3 yo that was never found but that's what they state their warrant on. A lot of lies on that document, including the things they said he said, but when you listen to his 'confession' he never said them. Also that he told them he put search words in but our forensics proves he didn't. Maybe we can pull it apart 1 bit at a time.
Yes, it's past appeal, but others who have been convicted of murder and other crimes sometimes have it reversed. Maybe we'll be one of those who does it with cp. I think it would be helpful to the community as well .
