I also read this petition, even though I am a level 1, low risk, I do not think it is right to have anyone's passport marked with a special identification, the tier ratings are flawed , they can charge a person with different charges even though it was the same victim, here in my state they do this and that is why some have to register 4 times a year instead of yearly. . Also my view is some petitions just do not work, it would be better to write your lawmakers about this issue. I do not have a answer to all this mess that our government keeps on doing, I just wish we could get all RCs on the same page and fight as a single unit.

My husband is a tier 3 but was originally a level !, He went through all his testing and was deemed the lowest possible risk, then came AWA and poof! He's now a tier 3. I can't support it, sorry

I do not support the change.org petition as written. I did e-mail my Senator and tell him that I think stamping the passports of all "Offenders" is simply the entering wedge and I am against stamping ANYONE / any denigrated group's pass port because very soon we will have Muslim passports stamped "Terrorist" and Dreamers passports stamped "Illegal" and we'll agree that it's right to excommunicate the Children of same sex parents, treat them as none people.

No, xenophobes, fundamentalists, those spouting hate speech against their favorite enemy of the state or enemy of God (Claiming they were God's ventriloquist) on earth) all of them could then decide to stamp the passports of ever newer targets of their choice...

Just a (little) addition to my rant: If you think about it, the Mormons were driven out of upstate NY because they espoused a religion that preached on man many women marriage and weren't too fssy about the age of the women the espoused. Some (including Governor Romney's family) fled to Mexico. established a settlement and produced children. Then Romny's grandfather came back "illegally" and settled in the US rose in the LDS Church and had son who ran for president.

"Illegal" (for Dreamer) a Gold star (Jew/ for dis-approved religion) or maybe just placed on the Registry and their pass ports stamped SO because back then they insisted upon bedding very young impressionable women?

I am glad there is a petition but it should not include anyone - and the designation of tiers is not good in any sense for this type of thing becasue many states do not use the tier system at all (FL for instance) - in FL there is only offender and predator - both are life time (and after death) on the registry so all FL folks (under this petition) would fall into one category - anyone care to guess which one? I also do not support this as written ..according to the AWA the tier system is based on the crime not the actual event ....

Just signed it and wrote my comments. The Big Problem with this new law is that they want to stamp Sex Offender in the passport, but what about ALL OTHER FELONS????? Murderers etc. Why just pick on SOs. Also, we all know that we are being bullied, find the weakest of people, and make their lives hell. Remember the bullies in high school? it made you not want to go to school? Same with this, makes you not want to travel,makes you not want to do anything. Enough punishment has been served, but they keep Bullying us and we keep backing down. How I would love to speak in front of the politicians, but none give a damn, because we cant vote. I just cant take this bullying anymore

Online petitions are a waste of time, sad to say. And I hope folks are doing more than JUST emailing the pols. Calling or visiting their offices would be a good thing to add to emailing.

Once - I agree with you that most online petitions dealing with RSOs have been in the past a waste of time because no one wants to be viewed as a supporter of SOs - however there have been many online petitions that have made a huge difference -

I agree that we all need to write our representatives and more than once - but I also think that even if someone sees this petition but does not sign the info is in their head ...

FAC has reported a group from RSOL has gone to DC to try to stop it in person. Wish more of us could go.

We may still have time to stop this, but remeber, there are 435 members of Congress. That's an awful lot of ground to cover.
