I'd like to add that the House has convened until after the New Year so we have a little time to address this thing. After 8 years of futility, it seems International Megan's FLAW could pass and further restrict the rights of Registered Citizens.

Yes I have known about this one for a while but I did call my REPRESENTATIVE, once this morning and then 3 months ago plus letters. I see the nice little sign across such a important document will really spruce it up. If this passes it will be because of the inaction of the many, they had plenty of time to fight this one. I really do not know what to do if this goes into effect, I guess I will just throw my passport in the trash along with my government. Your basically banned from travel any ways, this is just the icing on the cake.

This is really bad. Please write your Representative. It only takes a few moment and you know what the answer will be if you don't. Minimally ask them to only identify sexual predators and not lump all SOs in the same basket. It would be at least something.

Having lived outside the U.S. for years, I can safely say that in many countries this could put you at risk. Detainment, Arrest, Harassment. Some places you could end up dead. This is not just about SO's but their family as well. This is something that can get everyone hurt. Write your representatives or be prepared to lose another right at the hands of the political PC's. We are facing uneducated and dangerous people. Don't think they wouldn't put every SO into camps or worse if they could get away with it. Interesting because the First Sex Offender Registry was created in the late 1930's to "register" homosexuals and all these years later Cali politicians want to introduce the death penalty for homosexuals? But why single out Tier 2 and Tier 3? You have to know that there are some T2's & T3's that are doing their damndest to do right and not be knuckleheads.

I cannot support that petition. Period.

I went to the link and read the petition, the person who started it is trying to only block tier one offenders from having their passport stamped. The problem with that is tier 2 and 3 should not have their passports stamped either.

Additional reasoning for my previous post:

I want to add that the national registry is enough and I don't travel but you have to know that the other countries have to know before you go because the laws already state that we have to notify law enforcement before we go anyway. So IML is a moot point and not even needed. But yes we have to act on it.

The above petition [http://tinyurl.com/pwpsdkm] does not account that everyone should be decided on an individual basis . In my opinion the petition is a contradiction and prejudiced in it's own language and not fair to all. For that reason alone I cannot support the petition.

I understand what everyone is saying, but my thoughts are this is the Fed's and the best you can do is chip away one piece at a time. At this point we can't even get them to acknowledge the tier system at all. I also thought by not asking for the whole thing to be taken off the table we may get support from the general public. It is fine if you choose not to support it, but please do something. Don't let this go through without any type of protest.
