My husband is finally off probation! It ended at midnight on Monday. I am not quite sure what to even think. It feels a bit like a let down though because he's still on the registry. When this whole thing started and they said 5 years probation, that was going to be it. They said NO registry. Then halfway through, that all changed. I''m still mad about it. :(

Congratulations, and good for you and your husband!!!! This is another milestone and I am so very happy for your family.
These situations are so complicated and mentally exhausting that sometimes we have to take them one small step at a time. Now that probation is behind you, there is only the registry to contend with.
Being only on the registry will be a LOT easier and less intrusive than sex offender probation.
