I am anxiously awaiting the KS Supreme Court ruling on the punitive nature of the registry / applying it retroactively.
Although their upholding (hopefully) of the lower court's decision would only immediately impact the KS registrants directly mentioned in the suit the arguments used / commentary from judges could easily apply to my state.

I think you are referring to Doe vs KBI. I, too, am awaiting the verdict.
But, in the Starkey case in Oklahoma, it took six months from the last oral arguments in January 2013 until June 2013 before they reached their verdict.
I guess all we can do is wait.

Let's hope we can find a federal judge to invalidate the registry, will make the process go SO much faster, instead of state by state. Though I am happy for Kansas when the judge finally sets the right precedence.
But I would be sooooo excited!!
I'd just fear the backlash and vigilante revenge that may occur.
