But ya know, there may come a time where it IS that bad anyway, then we have to make a decision, give up/in, or just say, "screw it and to hell damned", and do what we please and if he gets caught...well, at least he had that choice and that last taste of freedom.
I often think, "yeah, parks and pools may one day be off limits" so...just go to another state and hike, swim, fish, and mind your business, keep your nose clean, and take your chances...who's gonna know you?
That's just me, tho' I'm not on the registry, tho' my hubby is.
I know what I would do, if I was stuck on the registry and suddenly these idiotic restraints were put on me, esp. if my kids were grown, and I was older.
But, I plan to swing my 'noose' and hope to rope it around those who are responsible for creating the God-forsaken Registry. If, by chance, I receive the annual registry update in the mail ... I plan on filing a lawsuit claiming that I originally signed paperwork stating a ten-year period or registration (not LIFE).
Hold on Sparky, take that noose of your's and sling it back to who it belongs to!!
I know how you feel. I was sitting in church this morning and I felt like I had been kicked in the chest. You know why? Because some of the people at church "know". I was all of a sudden terrified that others would know if I kept coming back to church. Sometimes I feel like I am going in two directions at once. Church was the place I used to feel safest. I don't feel safe--anywhere! I am terrified someone will find out, terrified that someone will (metaphorically speaking) burn a cross in my front yard, or just "accidentally" do a drive by shooting. But, you know what? It is terror, it is not real. None of those things have happened. Still, I feel them very acutely at times. Fortunately, I have an appointment with my counselor tomorrow. That always helps.
You are in a very dark space right now. I think counseling could help you, too.
But, I can't help making another comment... It may seem trite compared to your expression of feelings... but, wow, your writing is beautiful! Really! You express something that we have all felt...all feel at times. So few people can put those kinds of feelings in writing like that! I feel really touched.
Do you journal? I think you have a talent for expressive writing. Perhaps you could share more with us. I would really like that.

Hang in there man.
Read about the prophets and how the where treated, we today count them blessed or read the story of Jesus. He should be our example. He understands! That's why He God came in human form
1984 I was released from prison, I was able to live a normal life for over 25 years. They took my crime from 1979 and attached my present day picture to this old crime that makes me just as guilt today as yesteryears.
I turned myself in 1979 as I was asking God to help me, that was over 33 years ago. I have 3 kids 2 finished college and the 3rd is in 6th grade. He is being treated as a sex offender because of a crime I did so long ago.
This all start 2008 because people started to notice me from the Megan's Web site, Your story / my life are the same!
No one has a quick fix but I know you can find the answer in time through Gods word. His words will bring life back into a death soul. One can not know happiness unless they know sorrow is what God has shown me.
While reading about the prophets ask yourselves Questions how they must of felt and how you would of felt going through what they did and how does this story help me?
Glad to hear from you. I have had you in my thoughts and prayers. Remember you can PM me if you need to vent. You are going through a lot and having to deal with immigration on top of everything else can really stress a person out. I know how immigration can be........ugh!
You are strong and will make it through this hard time in your life. We are in the land of the living and life is worth living even when we think it isn't or think it would be easier to give up. I am glad you have posted on here and know that you are not in this alone. Many are dealing with this.....
I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and hope you get the answers you need soon. {{hugs}}
