The special agent that served the search warrant on my house and arrested my son just called me to see if I could identify some people in pictures for him. Ummm.....why would I help them prosecute my son!?! Has anyone had something like this happen to them? I am at a complete loss for words for what they are asking me to do.

Isn't your son on supervision? Did they say there were new charges? Call an attorney.

He is not on supervision they just charged him two weeks ago. I did call his lawyer they haven't called me back yet. I am trying to get him home on supervision to wait for his trial.

You need to tell them you will not talk to them without your attorney present.

Absolutely - you get that attorney with you - and if the attorney tells you to help them without council get a new attorney!!! Do not talk them alone!!!!!!!

Absolutely do NOT talk with those people! They have no warrant and no charges against you! Your son also should not talk with them without an attorney present. They try this intimidation all the time!

no matter what they may say, 'how important' or 'it may help' your son, do not do it without that attorney!!! don't let them pressure or scare you, remember they are not *working 'for' you or your son!!

Absolutely, never, ever talk to anyone without his lawyer being there. They have a way of getting people to say things that they shouldn't.

I'll tell you what they want----they want you to help them in their investigation to hang your son. That is what they want.

Tell them absolutely nothing. In fact, do not talk to them. There is no reason for you to talk to them.

And if you quite do not know what to say, the others here have given you some excellent advice. Just say, "I don't want to talk without my attorney present."
