Curious if an inmate at Northeast Reintegration Facility in Cleveland is told to work on a visitation day, will she be punished (sent to the hole) if she goes to the visit? My girlfriend has now cancelled on me twice for this reason since being transferred there. It happened several times at her former facility for various reasons as well. I'm extremely discouraged at this point and think what's the point anymore? I've stuck by her side, remained faithful, drove 4 hours round trip to see her, sent her money and email stamps, wrote letters and poems from the heart, loaded money on my phone so she can call (which she never does anymore), went to her court hearings, helped comfort her father during this time, and have worked an average of 65 hours a week to save for a house so she can have somewhere to live free from an unhealthy lifestyle and in addition free from rent, utilities and everything. I'm offering her a brand new start but I feel she's blowing me off. I just don't get it. I know some of you might say it's possible she's telling the truth, but to my knowledge I'm the only person she's cancelled on. Her father has never had to cancel on her behalf. I hate what drugs have done to her. She has beauty inside of her I know, but why is all this happening? I've reached the end of my rope.

I never heard of an inmate not being able to visit because he or she has to work. Everywhere I was ever housed, the visits were the priority. If an inmate had a visit and was working, they were still permitted to leave the job area to go to the visit.
Work never interfered with visits when I was in prison. I never heard of someone not being able to visit because they had to work.
