My guy wore orange, but on those he had hot pink clothes on. I told him he was pretty in pink. His skin was green or pink. But I would see others and theirs was normal colors. Suppose it depends on the jail's equipment.
It is rough not being able to touch them at all, and so cruel They talk about cruel and unusual punishment, well this takes it to another level.
But if its all you get for now, then its worth it. The timer starts ticking down, you keep watching it, you quick say goodbye, and poof, he is gone. You will be upset the first time, then as all of the rest of this, you will adjust to it. It's him, so its as good as you can have. He will probably be moved eventually if he is going to a regular prison.
I learned something just today. My life has been one continual chaotic situation after another, and I have survived. I'm not talking a few things, I mean years of horrible things, and I am not nuts yet. Sad alot, yes, but still kicking, still sane.
We get through it somehow. Mine has been injured badly, sent to the hospital 4 times, had a heart attack once, and more. We survive. I lost my visits for a year, for something even the judge thought was inocuous and dumb. That was hard. Actually they kept me away 430 days. That was torture. But now, I go see him 3 times a week, 2 hours away. I had car problems two weeks ago, got stranded 2.5 miles from him, and he couldn't help. It worked out.
I am not just rambling, trying to make a point. Everything seems awful without them, but we do survive, and get through it, really we do. Don't seem possible, but I am living proof. 13 years of this off and on, with my son AND my fiance, sometimes at the same time, sometimes one gets out, the other goes in. It's tiring, its sad, its scary, but we survive, because we have no choice. Laying in bed crying doesn't do any good. Letting yourself fall apart helps no one.
We go on. Cuz we have to.
It kind of shows you how strong you are. We don't want to be, but we are. Stick on DS with us, we get each other through it. Been there, done that, and doing it again.
Take care, have a safe and good trip and visit.
let us know you made it home ok...even if you are not in the mood to "talk"
Have a safe trip
