I am sorry to hear that your guy received three years in prison, but it sure could have been much much worse.
Actually, a lot of the burden has been lifted from you. Now there is no more worrying and uncertainty if the lawyer is doing the right thing and how much time you guy will receive. No more fretting about court dates or meetings. Those things are in the past.
Now you know and can just concentrate on him getting out.
You should be on cruise control now.
The most difficult part of these situations is the uncertainty----of not knowing what will happen and fearing the worst.
Three years is not a very long sentence. I know at times it will seem an eternity to you, but it will go by fast. He will get some good time credits for good behavior and they probably will award some credits for programs he takes in prison.
But most of your worrying should be over. You can now concentrate on your life and YOUR precious children's life and just wait for your guy to get home.
Keep a positive outlook and take one day at a time.
But one thing you can hold in your heart and know for sure is that there WILL be an end to this---there is a light at the end of this tunnel. He WILL be with you again.
You are a very young lady and the two of you still have an entire life ahead of you. This is not the end of the world.
God Bless you and your family.

It's nice that there's someone on here who has actually been in prison himself, who can give us support and insight on what to expect. I really appreciate you, Rew. Happy Easter.
