ssdi and prison

My daughter has applied for SSdi back in 2002. She has a chronic illness with multiple hospitalizations wish has caused her to be unable to work. She now (of course) finally has a hearing in September but she has been sentenced to 26 months so she will not be out by her hearing. Does anyone know how or what I can do to help her get that back pay? This hearing is for the back pay and to start payments.I realize she will not be getting the benefits while incarcerated.

My neighbor was in prison while he was waiting to get accepted. He didn't think he could get it for the time he was in, but somehow I think he got back pay anyway. It could of been for the time before his incarceration, when he first applied. Just call them and ask, or ask a lawyer.
