This community is dedicated to families that have been disrupted by prison. Having a loved one incarcerated or having been incarcerated comes with its own unique challenges that require support and understanding. I know there is a board for this I can't figure out how to get there! Is there a such thing as only having to register for a period of time then getting off or are you on it for life. I can't find any information for nm anywhere and his caseworker doesn't know anything... So I don't know where to get my questions answered any help would be appreciated.

Here is a link to all New Mexico's sex offender laws. Go to the link below. When you get to that site, find the search box. Type in the words "sex offender registration" without the quotes, then hit enter. There will be links to anything you want to find regarding sex offenders and the laws in New Mexico..

All New Mexico's statutes with regard to registration are there. Just look around, point, and click.
