The prosecutor in our county vehemently fights to win at all costs. And that meaning she don't care if the person is innocent. She will ruin them for a win. THEN I read in the paper how corrupt and rotten she really is.
First, we find out she was married, met a sheriff, he was married, they had an affair, marriages broke up. Ok not illegal, just wrong.
Then we find out that she has been having people arrested, by her husband. It was a conflict of interest. Many sued, some got out of jail because of it or had to go through a trial all over again.
We find out that another sheriff actually held his family hostage when the wife wanted out of their marriage. They arrested him, but never heard anymore about it.
The head of the county jail did SOMETHING.. they wouldn't reveal what because he all of a sudden took all his sick time, vacation, then got put on administrative PAID leave til he could retire early.
That's the justice system for you, but WE get arrested for nothing, put in prison on bogus violations of probation and more. They ruin our life, but these people running our justice systems get away with just about anything.
They will say they left the department. Sure, and employed in the next county.
Prosecutors are the lowest people on the food chain. Next to reptiles.
Taking responsibility for the " crime" should be for everyone.
Taking responsibility for the crime shouldn't happen by coercion when you are innocent, but they do it. Anything to win the case.
Son was held SIX hours in an interrogation room. They kept asking him the same questions over and over til he cracked and " confessed". He wouldn't. They taunted him forever until he took a plea.
I heard on the phone because my fiance was smart. He called me when the cop had just pulled him over. He put that phone in his pocket, ON, so I could hear everything. I didn't think fast and record it, not that it would of made a difference. I heard the cop constantly trying to get him to admit something that was not true. I eventually told the cop he was lying, that HE was the one that was cocky and unwilling to stop asking questions to get my fiance to admit what was not right to admit. I told him I had it recorded and HE was the one doing wrong. He got really quiet.
More of us need to be aggressive against what they do wrong. But we fear reprisal, and we are smart to fear them. They are above the law and will do anything for an arrest and conviction. Shame on you, justice system, you are NOT making the country safer. You are causing uprisings, protests, even deaths because of how you are. And they wonder why we don't respect them... .. LOL!!
