30 minutes I wish we got that much time, we get 15 minutes. Yes I would sit and wait for the phone calls to the days I knew he would call. It's hard. Hang in there.

I am sorry you only get 15 minutes. I don't understand why they limit the calls like that. :(

I get the same way when I know his going to call at least your calls are longer then mine I only get 15min as well.
They limit the calls times so everyone can get a go at the phones.

I think the phone is like a life line for a lot of us, I too wait by the phone
when I know he is supposed to call and when he doesn't I start to pace the floor. I get my call about the same time every day so the longer it takes the higher my anxiety level gets. What a way to live!!!!

Here I am, he's been home 7 months and again I am sitting waiting for those calls. But I didn't know where he was for a week. At least when he was in prison I knew.

Neither are good situations.

Yea it is a life line for sure. To be able to hear my love's voice in between visits and letters is very important. I'm glad when he calls and I miss it he'll keep calling until I get the call. I also wait for his call. I definitely understand. Is it random or do you know what days he'll call? My guy usually calls on a Tuesday or Friday so at least I know those days to babysit my phone.

He calls every day!

I'm like you my guy calls everyday at the same times and when he doesn't I really start to get anxious it's weird when you expect something like that and then it doesn't happen it feels like the end of the world but then I think some people never get calls and some it's maybe once a week so I do feel very fortunate.

I know, I really am lucky compared to some here who only get one or two calls a week. I admire you all for your strength!

Yes I know I am lucky all the way around as it comes to phone calls our calls are .60 cents per call for 20 minutes and he can call as often as a phone is available. So that is good if probably go crazy if I didn't get those calls I write to him everyday as well but the mail is SO SLOW. In fact he wrote me 2 Mondays ago and I haven't got it yet and we are 6 hrs apart. So that's frustrating

I wish i got calls but he's in reception and he doesn't get to call. The lady time I talked to him was Feb 13th at 11pm.:-( This is the hardest thing right now. Not being able to heat his voice or see his beautiful face. I'm still waiting on the visitation approval. It will be behind glass but at this point I'll take anything. You ladies are so wonderful and string. ..I feel like a crazy mess. I think I'm OK then i just start crying and can't stop. I feel so lost sometimes.

Be thankful for those precious 30 minutes each day, knowing that some of us have no phone contact at all. I am living overseas and they don't allow inmates to call internationally. I so miss his beautiful voice.
