I went on prisontalk.com and did my homework- read every post I could find about where he is, visits, what to take, what not to wear, etc. I called the facility tonight to confirm he's still there, because he's in reception and could be moved any day. I got a pile of one dollar bills and a roll of quarters for the vending machines. I mapped my route. He's only an hour away, which is really fortunate.
So, I'm as prepared as I can be, unless any of you have any advice, suggestions, or ideas for me. I am nervous because I have never set foot in a prison before, but I am also looking forward to seeing my sweetheart and holding hands and spending a few hours together. I am going to try to rest now- I've been working so many overnight shifts and now work a few day shifts too, and I am seriously tired! I hope I can sleep a few hours, so I don't look like hell tomorrow. I'd like to put a big smile on his handsome face, not cause him any concern.
Oh, and I purchased a wire-free bra to wear, since this particular facility forces people wearing underwire bras to remove them. :)
