I read all about this yesterday. The Eastern Correctional Facility and Bard College, which is responsible for the program which developed the debate team, among other educational programs, are both very close to where I live. I hope that this innovative and revealing program smashes some stereotypes!

It's time people see things like this to show them that they are so wrong about many of the people in prison. They are not all bad people. Some are very smart, and loving and should not be thought of as all the stereotypes make them look.

Bravo to this debate, the college and the correctional facility that let this happen and I hope more of these kinds of things start happening.

People working together, showing that things aren't always as they appear could make a big change, in time.
