At least you can still work, shower, and brush your teeth. I have had people who were so overwhelmed that they would just lay in a fetal position and could not do anything but cry.
And you did have the good sense to make an appointment as I suggested. I gave you the name of some good antidepressants and some are on Wal Marts $4 list. You may also need an anti-anxiety agent.
Now remember this: these antidepressants do not work immediately. They will help, but it takes about two weeks to a month before you will get the optimal effect. But any anti-anxiety drug will work immediately.
Once you get over the hump here you might decide you want to get off them. I would strongly advise against that right now. Just stay on them. They are effective with very few unwanted side effects. They are safe.
At this point, if you quit taking them, you would find yourself back into your depressed and crying mode. So I suggest you stay on any meds your doctor gives for a while.
If, down the line, you should decide to get off these meds, do not try to do it without talking to the doctor first. These are SSRI's and you must gradually wean yourself off them. Any abrupt cessation of the drug will cause you to have some very unwanted side effects.
So keep your appointment with the doctor and let us know how it goes.
God Bless you,

Nothing in your life is over. You are such a young lady and so young that you have your entire life in front of you. This is just a minor bump in the road and it, too, will pass. Trust me, someday you and your guy will look back on this and laugh and wonder why it was such a big deal.
Once your man is released, your life will be whole again. Until then, you need to work on YOURSELF and those three beautiful CHILDREN you have. Those kids need you also.
Your life is never over until you just give up and quit.
Your guy is going nowhere. HE IS ALL YOURS RIGHT NOW. Try to relax and think logically.
You CAN keep this together and you WILL. Stick with the board. You are stronger than you think. Be a model for your guy and get tough.
Thinks will work out.

This will get somewhat easier, and it will take time. Right now is the beginning and everything has been ripped from you. You should pretty much expect nothing less, because he is and was a big part of your life. You will eventually stop crying so often, and actually feel ok for parts of the day. Then something will remind you of him, and you will cry, but maybe not as long or as often. It does take time Once you start seeing him and talking to him more, it will become easier than right now. It won't seem like it until you can see him regularly
It did take me quite awhile. Mine had been home just 10 months after being in 2 years, and boom, he was gone again. I couldn't believe I had to do it all over again, and for longer, so yes, I was just as much of a mess as you are. Then we did something stupid, and lost visiting privileges for a YEAR, so there I went again, so distraught, I couldn't of held a job if I had had one. So ontop of missing him, I no longer could even see him for a year, and I actually could have been in big trouble too I was a total mess. ( I brought in a beading needle for him to make jewelry and I got caught)
After I got the visits back I still missed him terribly, but it got easier. I spent every dime I had on gas to go there 3 times a week, 2 hours away, and talk to him several times a day. We do what we have to do to survive.
You won't believe until it happens, but in a few months, you will be better, and you will be coaching others how to overcome this.
Yes, go on the med's if you need to. It may make a world of difference. Then concentrate on yourself, and your kids, and him. Not just him.
I didn't have anyone to come home to, so it got really lonely. I dreaded going home to an empty house. Then winter hit and except for going to see him, I went nowhere. I live in the country, far from anything or anyone. I was totally isolated.
Get involved with the kids school if you aren't already. Fill your days up with so many things that you are exhausted and can sleep good. Do something that makes you feel good. I know you can't imagine what that could be now, but you will find your niche if you just seek something positive to do.
