Families of Prisoners Support Group
This community is dedicated to families that have been disrupted by prison. Having a loved one incarcerated or having been incarcerated comes with its own unique challenges that require support and understanding. Join the group to find others who know what you're going through, and to seek advice or share your experience.
You can bet that we will support each other! I have only been here at most, a few months and everyone is friendly and willing to help and give advice. My man is doing 10 years but he is up for parole in 2013. He should get out because he is a model inmate. So keep the faith, write everyday and I know that he will call when he can.
Hugs,
Purplekat

i do have a supporting husband of 45 years... we are in the process to settle craigs business matters or at least try...
I'm glad to know that you & your husband have each other to lean on. I am also a big advocate of the organization called CURE. Here is a link to their website:

They have chapters around the country & may have a support group in your area that you can attend. My experience has been wonderful with CURE. The people there understand what we are going through and provide a safe place to cry, vent, exchange information and support one another. In addition to the people here, I have found that the ones at CURE have helped me stay sane over the past several months. I hope this will help you, too.

has mark had his sentencing trial?.
where do i go on the cure link to join a family forum that have love ones in prision?
No, he hasn't been sentenced yet - that is scheduled for Monday morning. I have to drive 2 hours north to attend, so Monday morning will be tense - hoping to not catch any traffic and then hoping that I don't break down when the prosecutor & judge call him everything except nice. In so many ways, we both wish the sentencing was OVER and we could just wait for the next steps. But...we continue to wait.
When you get to the CURE website, click on the link for "State Chapters" and you will find the site for Texas. They have an email contact address as well as a phone #. I clicked on the Texas website link, but it didn't work. Maybe the email will work better. CURE was actually founded in Texas, so hopefully you will have lots of options. :) Good luck!
