As you all know I'm moving, most likely the 1st will be my last day on for a while, I'll miss you all, but I have to try to figure out how I'm going to re-connect, thats just a small problem. You know I wonder what society is really all about? I have a different type of prison problem, but these CO's and Wardons will not even attempt to help. The free prisoners need to get trapped, and this system will not even respond back to me, by now you think I'm crazy, LOL, well maybe, but my "HEART" is breaking on this one.
Last year we tried to save a mother cat, and her 4 dying kittens, mom, and babies died due to a uncaring SPCA, ANIMAL CONTROL, AND ANIMAL CONTROLS SUPERVISOR. There were 3 adult cats left, they would not put traps out for them, they said if we are feeding them they are our cats, THEIR NOT, they were here when my daughter moved in, they are wild, will hiss, and scratch if you try to touch them, or run. But I can not see a animal hungry due to people in the animal system not doing their dam job.
One of the adults disapeared, but in the mean time 2 more cats are coming around, so there is a total of 4 grown cats. I DON"T KNOW WHERE TO TURN TO WITH THIS? I have made phone calls to non kill shelters, cat foster homes, etc.etc."TO NO AVAIL", these cats I don't know who is going to take care of them, any sugestions, please, their Gods creatures also.

Bless you mamabear, for caring. You may need to look around a little - but there are resources for Strays. In our community we have what is called - TNR. Trap-Neuter-Release. I could go on and on about the benefits of these programs, but just to say they cut back tremendously on animal suffering and cut back on the proliferation (more babies) of the colonies. We also have a program called Community Cat Caregivers. Basically, it's people who 'adopt' a colony of feral cats and feed them (then, when appropriate trap, spay and release). I am active in both programs. (info about our citys programs can be found at: www.wihumane.org) . I also HIGHLY recommend Alley Cat Allies. They are a universal group devoted to these issues ( www.alleycat.org ). They have boundless information and also a hotline to call for advice. GOOD LUCK! And thank-you soo much for having a heart and caring about our furry less fortunate! KristiKat

I wish I had advice for you, Lynn. I have animals issues, too, though...lol I have a cat that is about 5 months old and needs neutered and declawed, BAD. I can't afford it and am going to have to try to figure something out. He is my dog's best friend. They eat, sleep, play together. It will break my heart to gve him away. I have tried neuter scooter, they will not be in my area for awhile. Anyone have suggestions?

All I can say is our local animal shelter will put traps out for free if you ask them to. However, it sounds like if these cats are caught it'll be an automatic put to sleep situation since they are wild cats.

Thank you for your help,KritiKat, I tried calling the one in MD, the other in WI I will try, how can these people advertize, like we have Animals In Distress, and Peaceable Kingdom here in this area, one is no kill, the other is foster care, they will not return my calls, GRRRRR! Oh, for neutering some times you can get voughers in pet stores, don't know about declawing though? I know they will just put them to sleep, but they will not even come get them, I have tried, God knows I have. Thank You again.

My daughter and I have rescued many baby kittens who were abandoned, fed them with a bottle till they were big enough to find homes. Most of them survived, two didn't one time and it broke my daughters heart. Its very kind of you to care about the cats, but I'm not really sure what can be done for them. I didn't know you were moving, I hope its a good move for you and wish you luck.
