Hi all . It's been a while since I've been on here. Been very busy trying to stay focused and stuff. Well the attorney general filed an extension on they're response for the appeal. Does anyone know how long they have when they do that? Can anyone explain what happens from? Thank you in advance for any information it will be greatly appreciated. Take care and have a nice day.
Extensions can either be a 30, 60, or 90 day extension. I have never seen one longer than 90 days. If they need more time, they might file for another extension after this one expires. Of course, the court will only allow so many extensions.

I had a conviction and it took three years for the appeal to be heard. Of course, that was years ago and things have gotten much better. I think the appeal process on the state level is down to about a year.
Your husband's case will go before a appeals court which consists of several justices, usually anywhere form five to nine.
He is apparently appealing on the state level in an appellate court since the Attorney General is involved.
If he is successful on appeal, they usually remand the case back to the original county from where it originated and he gets a new trial or he can at that point plead.
