I do sleep in one of his tops and boxers and yes I do spray it with his stuff kinda makes me feel like his snuggle into me still. I do listen to music we both like and get him his favorite bands cds when they come out. We also watch the same tv shows....yes odd I know but it's what we do! :)
Hugs me
I would say Just remember the days of him being home and how the love you felt for him, not long now and you will be connected again :)
"separated by prison united by conviction" actually one of the support groups i used to be on facebook on published that book. I also used to be a mentor for them. Write him poetry, send him pictures, remind yourself its not forever and only temporary and remind him that... you never know How strong you are until the only choice u have is to be strong.... hope this helps
I write to him, he writes to me, but right now, I am so sad that he was only home 10 months and he messed up so bad. Got in trouble in MN, we live in WI. Only did 38 days in MN, is done with that, but they can't release him. He is waiting for WI to pick him up on the probation violation. It could only be a few days or up to 4.5 years.
Pictures, copies of newspaper articles of things he is interested in such as car races, etc keep him happy. Family pictures, telling him things I do, how people are, what they are doing, keeping him feeling he is still connected out here somehow. BUT there he is again, locked up after only being home 10 months, and the last 4 he put me through hell with his drinking.
Today is a bad day.. just sick of it all, miss him and need the answers as to how much longer this will last. Anyone that knows me on here knows I never give up on him. Just tired of it all, and need him to grow up, take responsibility for his actions out here, to me, and deal with things like most people do. And I told him that.
