This Sunday marks the end of the first month of his incarceration, then it'll be 19 months til he's eligible for parole.
Hang in there chacha.
Missing them during the holidays seems amplified. But in a way, if you just try to think about it as just another day to get through, it is a bit better. I hate the darn Christmas music on TV, on the radio, in the stores. BAH HUMBUG I say. Just makes it worse. Especially the song " I'll be home for Christmas"... that one sends me running out of stores every time he is in.
Just remember that every bad thing seems monumental, but it goes away eventually somehow, then another one pops up. We get through that one too. It's just the way life is. If you let it get you down, you WILL be down. If you stay strong, and fight those urges through whatever means it takes, you will survive all of the catastrophe's of life. Say that silly quote " I am woman, hear me roar" to yourself a few times a day. It might help, it might make you laugh at least.
Look at all of our obstacles and catastrophe's as adventures, or tests of our strength and determination. Don't let those things win. Fighting off depression is vital for all of us to get through.
October moved out of her home state, to FL, lived in a car, just to be closer to her husband. She fought through all that, survived, her job ended, she ended up packing up again, moving across the US again, but is ok.
There was a young girl on here who was pregnant when her bf got arrested. She became homeless, had to find places to live, ways to survive while pregnant, then found work, had the baby, found a nice place to live, ended up breaking up with her bf, and I think found love again. These are stories of not giving up , not letting anything beat us.
A woman who used to be on here called HollyBee, hit and killed 3 people, went to prison for 6 years, is down to 3 years now. Left behind 5 kids and a poor excuse for a husband. She was in a wheelchair when she went in. Now, she is helping others in there with handicaps, she has taken classes to work with people in those situations once out. She has accepted the fact her marriage is over. She still misses her kids who he has only brought 3 times to see her, but never came in himself.
We have Joslyn who has went through so much with her son. Has a long time to wait for him, but she is tough, she is handling things for the most part.
Everyone on here is missing people, loving them, hurting because they are gone. BUT we CAN make it through that, and ANYTHING they throw at us if we don't give up.
I just want my old life back but who know's if that's ever going to happen!
