Hello! I'm new here and am just hoping this is a relatively active community. I just replied to a post in this group only to realize the initial post started in 2018 haha. I'm scrolling through but don't see much recent. Maybe I'm not understanding how to look at things yet. Anyway, just want to introduce myself and see who else is here to support one another.

hello hesaves. welcome to daily strength. methinks you hit the target the activity here. this forum is about as active as a meditation class. ohhhhhhhhm. . . i monitor this forum because of my prison family legacy, but the activity is slow, at best.

still, ds is a BIG website with a good many far more active forums with many flavors of support available. personally, the anxiety and ptsd forums are where i find the support which best serve my healing needs. i hope you'll take the time to surf around to see if any of them might serve your needs.

Welcome to DS! I saw this because it appeared at the bottom of a post I was replying on but I am not a member of this forum. I didn't want you to go away with no support. And I wanted to say you could try the relationship or loneliness forums if that interests you. People are very nice on here, for the most part. This is not like the meanness on some of the big forums but the tradeoff is slow responses. Some people might look once a week or month. Sometimes DS is simply slow. Use the icon at the top which looks like a magnifying glass and type in your phrase and when things pop up, look to the left and chose support groups not posts. Old posts will still pop up under groups but you can then click on the name of the group and the most current pop up. If it is an old date, then look for something more current.

Hello LifeOnMars I stumbled across this group with the same problem. Can't talk to loved ones about how hard it is to have an incarcerated loved one. I hope you are ok. Looks like you posted only a few days ago. Maybe at least you and I can support each other?

Hello all, I’m new here too and I hope everyone is doing better now. My husband and I are trying to deal with my daughters boyfriend that came home from prison. He was in 7 years and they live together. Anyone here have a similar situation. Some people in the family are not as forgiving as I am. Any advice on how to best support him and my daughter? Thank you for any help, sending positivity and healing to all :):)

    I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying.  I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there.  I think that I will start writing in it again.  It's so therapeutic.

    Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job.  It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it.  Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown.  There was a full length mirror in the changing room.  I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like.  It was a reality check.
