I am more happy for you than you will ever realize.
All the ladies here told you that there might be a delay and to be patient. These ladies have been through this and they know what they are talking about. Listen to them.
I hope you are feeling better now. You have NOT failed, and You have NOT lost your guy.
Good things happen to those who wait.

That's funny he thinks you shouldn't see him because his hair is messy. They do have prison barbers. They may not be the greatest. Where mine was it was free. Sometimes it costs a couple bucks. Towards the end mine always just let his grow out til he could get it cut at home. He looked like Grizzly Adams the last time. Huge beard and all.
You of course were going crazy. There is so many unknowns. I know court dates etc are really nerve wracking, but at least when they get started you have more of an idea of what you are up against.
I couldn't be happier for you. I figured you would hear from him soon. My guy said it took four days, but that's a different state.
Now you just keep writing to him. Tell him anything and everything. I used to make copies of news articles about things happening in our community so he knew what was going on and felt connected to his world out here. I sent pictures, asked his advice, made him part of our life even if he wasn't in here. You need to keep really busy to get through this, and then you also have lots to tell him. You find ways to get through it.
I did the laying in bed and crying for weeks thing. It only made us both miserable.
You go have some sort of good day. And tell us about that, too. Ok?
Trust in God everything will be fine. Whatever happens remember it's God's will. He has a plan for you.
Keep your chin up, things do get better, then you will have some bad times, but they become more tolerable, if that's the right word, eventually. We learn to adapt to this, just as they do. We may hate it, but fighting it does not help at all. If you can teach yourself to learn that when things seem bad, and you assume the worst, it probably is a simple explanation. Oh I am the queen of worrying and thinking the worst things have happened, and 95% of the time, it's pretty much nothing.
Make a list of things that you're thinking about and leave some space for jotting down ideas for solutions. Don't try to do it all at once either; take one thing at a time, and you'll get through it. You can do it. Yes, you can!!!
Good luck I'm so happy for you.
