That is a positive step as prison is much better than the county jail. He will have much more freedom to move around in prison and the conditions will just be so much better. Being able to actually go outside will make him feel like a breathing human being again.
In the beginning you wondered if you could do this. I think now you know you can---and that confidence is important.
You have most of the difficult things behind you. Many of the fears and uncertainty is a thing of the past and you can look toward the future. No more worrying about court dates, what the DA will do, how the judge will rule, and the sentencing is over.
Sure, he still has to serve his time, but you know now that it is just a matter of time until he is home. There is much more finality in this situation than there was six months ago.
Remember, each and every day that you put behind you is one day closer to the day he will come home to your waiting arms.
