Families of Prisoners Support Group
This community is dedicated to families that have been disrupted by prison. Having a loved one incarcerated or having been incarcerated comes with its own unique challenges that require support and understanding. Join the group to find others who know what you're going through, and to seek advice or share your experience.
Of course, it is too much to handle for you. Who could handle what you have been through?
People are not Supermen. We are not machines. We are made of flesh and blood and given emotions over which sometimes we have no control. Sometimes life dishes out an extra helping of grief and we must find a way to digest it.
There are times when everyone needs some extra help to get through a terrible period in their lives.
Many times seeking help is the only way we can begin to heal or get our lives back. It does not mean a person will have to be in therapy or take meds for the rest of his or her life, either.
Most people can stop the meds once they "get over the hump."

I will say this as a sister of someone who tried to kill themselves a few times there is no shame in asking for help but it really really can take a lot of guts to put your hand up and say you want help.......it is really stressful watching someone go though this and not know what you can do to help them.
If you can't afford to go get help please talk to a mate or get onto one of the hotlines!
You can always talk to us as well.
Anonymous hotlines are great.
Iam glad that you have the hotlines I hope that they can help you!
Mental health issues get looked down at by people that don't have them and don't understand them. It is nothing to be ashamed of. MANY people have them whether they admit it to anyone or themselves.
Going to a therapist helps many people. Whether you go on med's or not. Try it
I do think Robin William's death was tragic. Not just because he was famous. Because he appeared funny, happy and all together, but inside he was anything but. Money did not help him. Seems no one could help him. Instead of chastising people for getting help, we should encourage them, applaude them for trying to get better. Maybe more people wouldn't die, more people wouldn't go to prison, more people would be happy with their lives.
