Boyfriend sick & Surprise Court

Just got a call from him, and he told me he has been sick all day. Sounds like he has a fever and told me he was throwing up all day, he put in a request for the nurse but of course they arent getting back to him or doing anything about it. Im just coming on here to express my worries since when he told me all this i was very strong, since i know when someone is sick it makes them feel better just by someone telling them it will be okay. But im so worried about him now, i hate that he has to be in there so sick. The system starts to drive me crazy with things like this. To top it all off it sounds like he has a pre-prelimnary on January 31st now( so baically tomorrow lol), we knew his prelimary was on Feb 23rd but i had no idea there would be court before that, i dont even know what a pre-prelimary is and he is going to be very sick in court which sucks... ughhhh trying to stay postivie but its hard and it makes me sad hearing his voice and being able to tell he isnt doing well. Plus i have court stress now.

It really sucks when they are sick in those places i hope he gets to see the nurse soon.

This pre preliminary trial is probably nothing but a meeting between the judge and the two attorneys. In some states, your BF will not be required to attend.

The pre-trial hearing will allow the attorneys to discuss with the judge how the case is coming along, if there are any problems with witnesses or evidence, but most importantly the judge will most likely encourage both sides to compromise with a negotiated plea.

The system hates to go to trial if there can be any kind of negotiated plea.

Anyway, this pre-trial hearing is nothing really important. Attorneys and judges have several of these before the real trial.

It will be fine.

Thank you both he got to see the nurse and is doing a lot better and will be able to attend his court in the morning. So we will see if anything happens but most likely not, they may start talking about a plea deal is what his atty. But like always thank you for the support will see how tomorrow goes <3

He ended up not being able to go to court since right before they were about to drive him over he got really sick. His attys went and said that nothing happened, they just pushed the pre-prelim till feb 16th, but luckily as of now the preliminary is still feb 23rd. As far as he goes, they took him to medical and he told me got a really good nurse who put him on medications for anti-nausea and Tylenol for the headaches. Turns out he has the stomach flu. They also put him on an all liquid diet which he was happy about because he gets yogurt and better things now. But he is pretty sick, he has only been able to sleep. Just glad he was able to get the medical help he needed!

Iam glad his getting medical care it can be hit and miss sometimes in those places.

Sorry to hear that idk if there is anything you could do on your end smh yea the jails don't really care about inmates they care about the money tho....jus pray for him.
