I print things off the internet that would interest Michael. I create crossword and word search puzzles for him. I send him comic strips and newspaper articles. Lots of cards, song lyrics, poetry....then there's the books and magazines, catalogs....if I think it'll get in, I've probably sent it to Michael. He's allowed to have certain "faith items" so I try to get that stuff for him too. and pictures....oh my god, the number of pictures I've sent! lol

Those are all good ideas I tried creating a crossword puzzle it got denied so I haven't attempted again and I can't send magazines or get subscriptions. I have recently started sending pictures more often. I send cards and articles out of the paper and stuff. I send quotes and stuff. I haven't sent jokes ill have to do that. I recently started this fun thing I drew a big heart on the back of several pieces of paper and then cut them in smaller pieces and on the back I wrote 100 things I love about him and sending a few pieces at a time and after he gets them all he will have like a puzzle. It's kinda cheesy but I think he will love it!

Sure!! Anything to make the time pass and new ideas are always fun!

Last year for Valentine's Day, I bought about a dozen cards and sent them to him one at a time. Some were silly, some were poetic, some were sexy, and some were blank so I could write my own thoughts. He really liked the extra attention!!

I've printed out a ton of origami diagrams and mailed them into my guy. I was amazed when he was allowed to keep them and all the little things he makes, but he loves it. Apparently half of his block is into it now and they've made a communal "book" out of the designs I mail in. If their facility uses an additional canteen site like JLMarcus or something similar you might even be able to order approved colored paper. Now every letter I get has a little paper animal or flower in it!

Those are all wonder ideas. I have sent cards, pics, crossword puzzles, sododu puzzles. The new thing now is he has a JP4 player that he can send me emails and I can send him emails through Jpay, this will be interesting to see how it goes and I can send him pics and a 30 sec video from I have seen so far. He just got it yesterday - it was my Christmas present to him.

Videos would be so fun and I have heard of those they don't have anything like that where he is, no email, I can't buy him anything. You will have to let us know how that works sounds like it will be great for you!

Wow, origami! I have a couple books I send copies of pages along w/ pages of an adult coloring book; cars, bikes, trains. You can find them online and he has color pencils. Every envelope is different!

So far this Jpay email has worked quite well. He can send an email out in the morning and I normally get it within a couple hours. They send a notification to my email and then I log into Jpay and read the email and I can respond through this to. I normally do my letter to him in Micro soft word and copy and paste it into the email through Jpay. It seems that he gets mine the next time he logs into to his Jpay account. The only thing is its just like normal mail they do not get emails on weekends or holidays.

I will tell you ladies something, but you may already know.

Mail call everyday is THE MOST IMPORTANT TIME OF AN INMATES DAY. Nothing---even chow time--- is more important in a prisoner's heart than when they pass out mail.

I have seen grown men----people who have been in prison for years---get absolutely giddy and act like a 16 year old on his first date when he receives a letter. The transformation from the tough convict to the little boy is amazing.

Keep those letters coming. There are probably three things an inmate looks forward to EVERY damn day----mail, visits, and sex. ha ha

Had to put the sex in there, but since there is no sex in prison unless you are gay, which most are not, he is waiting for you all when he is released.

Wow, I would like to be a fly on the wall in the bedroom that first night he is home. Might have to call the fire department to put the fire out. ha ha. Excuse me, I am feeling feisty this AM.

Thanks for the laugh! Yes I put at least 1 envelope in the mail everyday I just wished he could get 1 everyday but unfortunately that doesn't happen and I know it's frustrating for him too right now he is waiting on photos and its driving him crazy!

Check out www.loveiscomix.com -- my man loves it when I cut these down to a small envelope size and write notes on the back. I save them to send on days when I just don't have enough to fill a whole piece of paper.

You may also like to write little romantic stories starring you and your guy. You have to write them at your level of comfort, of course, but they're great fun to write and great fun to read!
