This community is dedicated to families that have been disrupted by prison. Having a loved one incarcerated or having been incarcerated comes with its own unique challenges that require support and understanding. We just got back from a visit with my husband and it was great. This was the first visit he's had with the entire family, he got a special approval for all 11 of us. Since his son Jason found us we haven't been able to all go visit together so this one was really special. He spent most of his time with the grandkids but it was so nice to see them all together, we took lot's of pictures too. I'm hoping to get them before Christmas because I'd like to have one blown up and framed for Jason and his family for Christmas, he isn't that close with his mother or her family and they don't celebrate like we do so I want him to have a nice picture of all of us. Christmas is usually
a hard time or me but having 2 new granddaughter's, a son and daughter In law is making it a bit more exciting. I believe Jason found us at just the right time and I think someone above had something to do with it !!
Hope everyone has the best holiday the can, I know how hard it is believe me this is number 8 for my family, I try and stay positive and act like it's just one more year closer until he comes home.

I am so happy that you and the family had a wonderful visit with your husband.
I hope the days go by and he is home with you as quick as possible. You have been a strong and dedicated woman and I hope your husband realizes how lucky he is to have you.

I missed if you posted about the first time that Jason met his dad. How did that go??? WOW I just can't believe how wonderful this turned out for you all. YAY!! And that's amazing that they allowed all 11 of you to go see him. Good for you. Merry Christmas!
Wisconsin it's good to hear from you, how are things going? When I took Jason to meet his dad for the first time a few tears were shed but they hit it off right away, it's crazy how much alike they are. On the second visit we took his girls to meet him and that went just as easy. I swear he just fits into the family, I feel like I have known him forever and my new granddaughter's, I don't know what else to say except I love them, I am their Nana and I am loving every minute of it. Life is a little easier with them in it. Merry Christmas to you too.
