Just when I had found my strength and was ready to kick my bf out the door he chose to go into rehab. It was a short program but he has come out of it so positive and full of hope. I am nervous of the unknown because I have not seen him truly want and appreciating the help he is getting. He has appointments to get further help and plans on (and has been) attending AA meetings daily. He even has connected with someone who takes him to meetings and helps him find a sponsor.

He is such a wonderful and kind hearted person when he is sober and he is now realizing that too. It is so great to see that he believes in himself now. So many people said I should kick him to the curb but I'm glad it took me a while to find my own strength.

We both have things to work on personally and we are working together to make our relationship the best that it can be. I am hopeful of the future but also well aware there may be set backs along the way.
