My sister has relapsed.....yet again. This must make it time 5 or 6. I dont count anymore. This time though she made it TWO YEARS clean! It makes the relapse that much harder. Ecspecially because she considers using crack every day again just 'slip ups'. As if each day is a small transgression all on its own so she doesnt have to admit shes using again.
Now, her 17 year old...Kelsey...and her 15 year old...Kc...had been living with her. April doesnt have custody of any of her kids. Kelsey left home due to her own addiction (pot and now cocaine) at 16. She couch surfed until moving in with her mom. Kc stays part time with April, Part time with our mum, who has custody. She was trying to be with her clean mum and with the relapse all the issues we have worked with Kc so hard on resurfaced
NOW...April is dating this guy Jordan. Her newest flavour she met at a meeting. No idea how long he had been clean, but I guess not at all now. Neither he nor April are working. Though he claims he has a job but due to spring break up is off. They have decided/demanded to move into mums basement. April, Jordan, Kelsey and Kc(who already half lives there)
My mum wants them to sign a contract stating they have 3 months then have to get out. She needs a witness and has asked me to be one. She says since I was the strong one the first time around that she needs my help making and keeping the contract.
Im exhausted. Im worn down. I dont know if I have the energy or heart to do any of this. I feel beaten and wiped out and the thought of the whole three ring addiction circus makes me feel nauseous. On the other hand I want to support my mum, previously Aprils BIGGEST enabler.

Your mother wants your help... she doesn't need your help.
You feel pressured by your mother - does that sound familiar, like the way the addict pressures you? Isn't your goal to put yourself first and not be drawn into the problems caused by your sister's addiction?
Its great that your mother's enabling has reduced, but I think she till has a way to go. You can 'support' your mother without enabling her enabling, if you get what I mean. Does she have a support group herself?
