I also saw on facebook. my heart is breaking for her . I will pray for them all. such an unbelievable tragedy

Hi all and yes I just logged onto FB and it was the 1st story up on my FB news wire. My heart is just breaking for Kim and I can't stop crying.

I too, just checked my facebook, and my husband heard me yell "oh, no!" and I cried...I told him what I read, he knows her story too.
Cardinal is the bravest, best mother and grandmother. So strong. The only positive thing I can think to share is from my husband, and he reminded me that Kaitlyn is in heaven with a God who loves her, and she has peace and freedom from addiction. I only hope that Kim can continue her raising of her granddaughter with the same wonderful strength and strong love that she and her husband have relied on in the past.
I cannot be more sad for one of our sisters. My love to her. I am heartbroken.

When I read her post on Facebook my heart sunk and I was crying right along side of her. Kim and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh no is all I could say, my heart sank , tears filled my eyes. My prayers are with Kim and her fam

As I heard this news the pain in my heart for my dear friend Kim was too much. Kim is one if my strongest closest friends on here and if not for her encouragement so many times I don't know where I would be. Kaitlin you are a beautiful girl with a beautiful courageous mom who always took the time for others even when her heart was heavy. I know you are at peace now and your mom will be there at the finish line someday with open arms . I'm sorry your journey was filled with such troubles but your mom loved you so very much and was so thankful for the gift you gave her little miss Ava. I saw the post also earlier today...Kim cardinal has been such an inspiration to many of us.. The one who would help us pull ourselves out of the muck with her strength... I know we all pray for each other.. But now is the time for sure to be strength for her... Love you kim

This is heart breaking. For the first time since I joined this wonderful community I cannot hold my tears. It's just so cruel and unfair. Kim, if you get to read this, I send you a big, warm hug with all my heart and soul. I am so very sorry for your loss...

Kim has and always will be in my prayers as well as Kaitlen. I too found out on FB and felt my heart break for Kim. Although we've never met in person, Kim was there, online, at a time in my life where I had never felt so alone and scared. A stranger without a face or voice, she walked me through what I needed to do, it was as if she was holding me up as if she'd been there and knew me. My cardinals in my back yard always make me smile as every time I see one, I think of Kim. This is the 2nd time in one month that this disease has taken a young life so close to the heart.

My heart is filled with sadness for my friend Kim, she was one of the first people to reach out to me when I joined this group. She was such a big help to me she even gave me her number and we texted for awhile.
Kim you have been such an inspiration to everyone on this site, my heart goes out to you and your family, you are all in my prayers. Right now I am at a loss for words, I can't stop crying. May God watch over you in this tragic time, especially Kaitlin.
