just was reminded of this today
my son who is the addict had been giving us trouble off and on since he was 17. in 2010 when he was 19 he was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell. at that time I was very trusting of people and told people at work
well then they would ask how my son was doing and I wwould say which one - the good one or the bad one. But then I would realize how awful that sounded and changed it to "my good one" or my "miracle in progress"
when I said those words and referred to my son that way I in no way had any idea that one day he would be my miracle. God has totally restored him through the one year faith based treatment facility and now he is staying on another year to give back and do volunteer work. (he makes a bit of money plus room and board)
I share this because maybe we need to stay optimistic and pray and pray and never give up hope.
hope is sometimes all we have left and faith. We can't do it but God can!
