He has finally admitted that he needs help with his opiate/heroin addiction. I hope they accept him into this treatment program.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ACCEPT HIM INTO THIS PROGRAM

He was ACCEPTED!!!! He starts with 21 days at an inpatient facility. Then they reasses him and his stay could be extended. After inpatient he enters an intense outpatient program. He's getting medical insurance and financial assistance while he's in the program. We both cried a lot. Now he waits for a bed to open up.

I feel very relieved. For now. This is far from over. Just the beginning of a new chapter.

Where there is life, there is hope,, unfortunately recovery is not a one time deal,,, addiction us a life long disease,,, and it takes different actions, tools and procedures to arrest the disease,,,

Praying for Mack , that this time the treatment will work ,and his disease is put into remission

Awesome. He chose to go, this is a great first step. Use the time for rest and renewal for yourself...and if they offer any family counceling- in a big group- go. It really helped us all.
