After age 10 I grew up with my dad and step-mom. Their weekends were spent partying and drinking Friday night and Saturday nights. My mom was abusive and would say very mean things to me and my siblings, my dad was controlling and he also would say things that weren't very nice. I married not one but two addicts, one was very abusive the other was kind, but at the same time very self centered. My brother became a alcoholic, married, then divorced and finally quit drinking about 5 years ago because of his health. My sister did drugs and drank a lot, she married and divorced and no longer does drugs or drinks but has a lot of health issues. My other brother also drank a lot and he tended to have parties where drinking was number one on the list.
As a child I didn't have a choice I was stuck living in that life and it is because of that life I ended up marrying the wrong men. As children we are like sponges, we soak up all we hear and see the good stuff and the bad.
