My sister has relapsed for the 4th or 5th time now. Generally this means she disappears for a very long time and when I finally see her it really affects me for quite some time afterwards. My mind stews on what she looks likes, smells like, talks like, etc. This relapse has led to her disappearance for a long time. I have been thinking about her and wanting to see her. It's a vicious cycle. Should I try to contact her or should I let her contact me? Generally she will ignore my calls/texts until she needs something and then she will contact me. I hate that.

Mine disappeared once. I freaked out! I ended up reaching out to various people, even an undesirable, telling them to tell him to at least send me a text letting me know he's alive. It took 3 days for him to actually contact me. I just had to know that he was at least alive. I don't know if I made the right decision. But that's the decision I made.

Why, let her go, and she wants to be clean be there,, your the only one that can stop the viscous cycle your on,,ask yourself if contacting her, would be a positive thing for you ,,, sometimes not seeing them in their worse, is better then seeing them,,,you got to start healing yourself,, your becomming addicted to your addict,,,

I know, the worry never goes away but you'll just suffer more by putting yourself through this. It's one thing to worry and wonder but when you try to call and keep getting let down, then its going to hurt more. I wouldn't contact her just try to be there for her if she wants to get clean in the mean time if it gets to be to much for you I would seek some counseling. Unfortunately the only thing that heals us is good friends and time. Good luck and I pray your sis comes around soon. Take care of you!!

my son disappeared once in a while...my mom said "bad news travels fast"...and she was right. if he got arrested, robbed or sick, we got a call from him or his friends....and there was still nothing we could do. I suggest the serenity prayer.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
