As we talk about our addicts, I see alot of folks who smoke cigarettes and I just wanted to put this out there as I struggled so hard for 38+ years to quit smoking and finally did it, this may help someone, hopefully?
I started at age 9, ick....I'm 51 now, so 38+years ick....I was even a professional singer with a 3 1/2 octive voice, even though I smoke and don't know HOW...BUT always had 'throat issues', pollups, etc....
I read 1 1/2 years ago about electronic cigs, my mother in law told me about them. Did some research on www.e-cigaretteforum.com and decided, what the heck. I was spending 6.35 per day 2x a day on my packs, what COULD this hurt and doubted it would work. I started with the ones that 'look' like a cig, and even though I wasn't thrilled, I NEVER picked up another cigarette again...AMAZING....sad part is I liked smoking....but this brought it to a different level.
The juice is nicotine, glycerin and propylene glycol (both are found in foods) and flavoring, I use peppermint hot chocolate..(no calories lol)...
I moved up to a Joyetech Ego and really began enjoying it.
It does NOT emit smoke, it is a vapor, like you would see at a rock concert lol....
I can vape in the house, in the car, in bed....anywhere...I don't vape in public places as it freaks people out...LOL..although I did do it once and had so many people inquiring....took up about 2 hours of my night...LOL...
You can get all flavor juices and some just like tobacco, which I found icky...LOL....
It cost me 80.00 for a set of two, which I use both, and about 40.00 every other month for juices and about 30.00 every 3 months for atomizers that wick the juice. Compared to the 14 a day I was spending (rounding it off), I can't BELIEVE the amount of money I have saved, not to mention I don't smell, my clothes don't smell, I can run and not be out of breath.....
I've heard the whole 'but you haven't really quit..' um yeah I have, I have cut out 3,999 chemicals dumping into my body....
and not to mention my singing voice (as I still practise daily, just don't sing professionally anymore except for some local theatre)...is so much better.
Just putting it out there if someone is struggling to quit....I have not had ONE cigarette nor taken a puff either in 1 1/2 years....

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I wish they would make a sweet you could not eat but still get the taste, hmmmmm maybe I'm onto something. here.
