So my boyfriend is a heroin addict... he's been doing pretty well, trying to wean himself off it using suboxone and the most minimal amount of heroin to prevent going into withdrawal. he starts a court-mandated drug program next week, where he'll be randomly tested and if he comes up dirty, he'll spend a week in jail. he seems to be taking that very seriously, he's not gonna risk going to jail so he knows he has to quit, and it's a way to stop all his friends from pressuring him to do dope as well. He knows all he has to do to fix his life-try to get an apartment, look for a second job, start going to meetings, etc. Today he asked me if we could take a break for a few weeks so he can do all that on his own (ive been finding apartments to look at, giving him the job section of the paper, printing out articles about quitting heroin, etc) he basically said he needs to do this on his own and not for or because of me, and he needs the drive to fix his own life. is this good or bad? I'm afraid, due to past relationships, that this is just an excuse to leave me or go back to his ex or see someone else.... but one of my friends reminded me its really not about me and its good that he realizes he's responsible for himself.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
