I think of the Al-anon website they have the booklet on file. I know I saw it somewhere. Let me look around and see if I can find it.

I'm all for chatting with everyone online, I think it's a great idea! Let's get something going. Anyone else out there have any idea?

I'm up for trying! I'm in the same boat with Cristine. I don't know anything - 12 step, etc... I've been told to look into Al-anon for emotional support, co-dependency in living with alcholic personality disorders.
I'm not even sure I know what all that means except at times I have difficulty understanding & living with the alcholic's "games"!!!

I've been a member of Al Anon for many years. I'm concerned that if called Al Anon we must abide by the Steps and Traditions. Going to the website would be a prudent move. I would also suggest that people who want to participate get the Al Anon Literature or read it online. I'll keep an eye on this discussion topic.

Definatley we would want to have our own online group thru DS.
I can't speak about the others but I am interested in learning 12 steps and 12 traditions.
But, am also open to other ideas.
I have never attended a "real life and or online mtg" before.
Just know that many ppl are interested.
I do not feel educated enuf to hold the meetings myself.
Not knowing what they are truly about.
I suppose I can read the literature on line and all. But, I think I learn better by someone talking to me about it.
I am wondering what others are looking for in an Al-Anon/NA-Anon group?

I see that someone went to the Al Anon Online Site. Good. Now what?

Hi everyone, I'm in the same boat too, if you do have any online groups, I'm interested. I am going to my first meeting on Tuesday morning for local support to help me understand all this. Still interested in any chat groups for Al-anon too. Did anyone find out about whether DS has any sites? I was going to set up a group if you would like me to. A friend will help me set it up, I just need a name... what would you like to call it??
