I'm not sure what advice to offer, but I'm so sorry that you and your spouse are going through this. I hope that the help she is getting truly helps her, and I wish you guys all the best.

Is she scratching due to the drugs in her system? My sister used to scratch her crack bugs til she bled and it was so hard to see. But it wont stop as long as the drug is in her system. The best you can do is make sure that she is cleaning the scratches so they won't get infected.

My first thought is exactly what jolene said, is she still using. I hope that she is getting the help she needs, because she is clearly in a dark and needs help. I'm so sorry that you are going through this and pray that god will watch over you both.

she isnt using any drugs other than what she was prescribed in the hospital thaty is when she started scratching,thanks for the support

She could be having an allergic reaction to the meds. I did the same thing after I had surgery, and it was the pain medication.

I read somewhere that some people who have used meth will have these scratching ticks that don't go away even after the person is no longer using meth.
The main thing is be supportive of her getting help and let her handle her addiction. I know that is hard at times, but it the best way to help. It more like I love you, I'm here for you and lets go do something fun. Keep busy, learn to live life again. All of this takes time. I hope she does well and things get better for you also.
I have a friend she didn't do drugs but developed a itching and scratching problem. Turned out to be scabies and she lives in Canada.

I know alcohol withdrawal can cause itching so maybe drug withdrawal can too.Plus pain medication causes itching.I know it does in me I think it is an allergic reaction.I know others that get that too from pain medication.
