My daughter attempted suicide

Not sure what to say. My daughter attempted suicide by OD a few months back. It's been, needless to say, something I've never experienced. Also, never would have imagined everything to that has to be dealt with afterwards. 


Completely, overwhelmed.

No matter how well we think we know a child, we never know what is in their heads. My heart goes out to you. I trust that she is getting the help she needs and is learning some new coping skills so she won't take such a drastic approach to solving her problems again.

bobinmaine, thank you. It has been a mess trying to get her a steady therapist. The facility she was in after this dropped the ball on followup therapy and i have been going around with insurance and trying to find therapy for her. I found one, but then they were in an accident; so, we start a new one on Monday.

I hope they can help. I know she is lying to me about how she feels and that she is ok.

Just feel so damn helpless. I just have this feeling that something is coming down the road, i just don't know what.

Hi so I tried to kill myself by OD as well and I have to tell you I never told anyone anything. I was a perfect a student and did cheer and gymnastics. I had a boyfriend and was kind. No one would suspect what I did and I wanted it that way I didn't want those who loved me to worry and that's probley why she did it. To be honest most people just think its a phase and the kids will grow out of it however some don't. I know that its hard( my sister also tried to kill herself) but you really gotta act like your not too worried and just be there for her when something happens. Take her out and spend time to try and get her mind off things.

    So mad at Xfinity!  They're trying to charge me $115 per month for the same service I had been paying $50 the last four years. I took the equipment to UPS for shipping and cancelled my subscription today!  Next door was a cookie shop called Crumbl. I had heard of it before but never went in until today. I don't need one more sugar fix, but maybe it will help with my sad) grieving heart....$15...

    check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
