hello yall my name is kenneth and i am having seizures.... the doctor calls it silent seizures..... i am 54 yrs old .... and i have the maybe 2 or 3 times a day..... this past friday i had 5 ...... its getting on my nerves..... i am taking keppra 500 mg twicw a day. but its not working.. someone please tell me how can i deal with this.....
are you having "absence seizures" these are when you just kind of check out, stare off into nowhere, almost like you pass out, but it looks like your completely awake?

I am sorry your meds are not working. Please go see your doctor and try something else, lots of meds out there... I remember first being diagnosed. It is a really hard time, it gets easier I promise :) Try not to make epilepsy your identity, it is just part of who you are. Sorry you are having to deal with this. Don't underestimate regular sleeping patterns, healthy eating, LOWERING stress. It is really important to take care of yourself, be kind to yourself. xo
