WELL I MAY HAVE TO HAVE BRAIN SURGERY AND IAM SCARED SHITLESS I WILL BE SO UPSET IF I HAVE TO GO FOR THE BALD LOOK I KNOW MY BROTHERS WILL CRACK ON ME ABOUT IT THEY ARE THINKING ABOUT DOING IT B/C MY SEZIURES ARE OUT OF CONROL SO THEY WANNA PUT A CHIP INTO MY BRAIN TO SEND ELTRICAL SHOCKS TO THE BRAIN WHEN A SEZIURE COMES ON THEY THINK IT WILL HELP CUT DOWN MY SEZIURES IAM ALSO THINKING ABOUT NOT TELLING MY FAMILY UNTIL THE SURGERY IS OVER AND DONE WITH BECAUSE I KNOW IF MY MOM FINDS OUT SHE WILL GET SO WORKED UP SHE WILL HAVE TOUBLE BREATHING AND END UP IN A HOSP SO I FIGURED I WAIT UNTIL I WAS IN THE RECOVERY ROOM TO CALL HER ALSO I DONT KNOW BUT DO ANY OF U KNOW IF THEY BUT SOME ONE WITH BRAIN SURGERY IN A COMA FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS TO LET THERE HEAD REST OR DO THEY JUST GET TO GO HOME AFTER WORDS LIKE AS AN OUT PATIENT SURGERY TYPE OF THING

I have to have surgery tomorrow too. Mine isnt as serious as yours though. I am always anxious right before surgery. So its normal to be scared. What your having done is serious and your mother should be with you through this. I know mothers can drive you crazy sometimes but she is your mother and they are suppose to drive you crazy. Losing your hair is nothing i have been bald several times. I had no problem with it, because its not my hair that people like about me its me they like. So dont sweat the hair loss. Just concentrate on recovery. Good luck, and I will pray for you.

Which type of surgery are you having? Sounds like VNS. Well I had a right temporal lobectomy. They took partS of my brain out. But guess what? I am now 2 years seizure free. Awesome huh! You sound like me, mentioning family. Right before surgery I was more worried about my husband! So, it depends on the surgery as to the recovery, etc. But I truly don't see it happening on an outpatient basis. Best of luck :)
