Medication change

My doctor wants to wean me off of Dilantin & onto Zonegram. What did you experience from the medication change?

Some of the changes didn't work but after 18 months they fond the correct meds. Ask your doc if they discharge through your urine or liver. My liver was also damaged in my fall.

First, everyone's experiences can be different.

Most common experience is 'seizures' while changing meds. Then there are Side Effects from the 'new' med, that could occur.

Keep in mind, it Will take your system at least 4-6 weeks (trial & error phase) to adjust to your new med. So, hang in there. Side effects are what we Watch for & you may be fortunate to not experience Any. :) But, any 'mild' side effects Should disappear B4 the trial & error phase is over. Discuss w/ your Pharmacist the Side Effects you need to watch for & when to call your DR!
