ok I used to have epilepsy. I've been having twitches lately for the past few months. im just wondering if it is possible to have epilepsy come back.

The short answer is YES. It never was cured. There is no cure for Epilepsy. It went away, you said. I don't know if they call that in remission but it's back there, lurking around...

Record your symptoms as carefully as you can, and then go to your Doctor. Better safe than sorry. Good luck.

Yeah Im going in for an EEG next friday so they can see if its my epilepsy back. unfortunately the first time I had epilepsy they didn't find anything on there so I don't know how well it will work this time.

Took 4 eeg to get mine as focal E and can only catch when the seizure happens. Very hard to get. But eventually got. Please persist with it, and if not happy with your nuro, see another.

Ditto to all the above advice Loffra - if you had asked me 12 months ago if E comes back I would have probably said no. 13 years without a seizure and I thought it was all behind me.
Don't be surprised if EEG doesn't show anything - all the ones I have had never showed anything.
The only positive about the second time is that I knew the "system" - which meds worked etc. so it has been an easier transition although
I'm still not quite there yet it will not take nearly as long as the first time.
