I have Nocturnal Epilepsy (Gran-Mal) and I haven't had a seizure in 2 years, that is until 2 weeks ago.
Two weeks ago I had a seizure.
This one was different than the ones I have had in the past. It was Nocturnal like all the others, however I must have been heading to the washroom or heading back.
The different thing about this one was that I remember bits and pieces or what I am assuming was maybe afterwards.
I lost control of my bladder in the hall right between my room and the washroom and I faintly remember being on the washroom't floor and trying to pull myself up by the towel rack, but I couldn't and I think I kept fallng. I then remember being on the couch in the living room and then I woke up back in my bed. I remember being scared.
At some point I hit my head and I have a huge lump on the side of my head and scrape on my nose and forehead which looks like it may be from carpet (which is only in my room, and I did find some blood on the floor beside my bed).
This is the first time I have injured myself (other than chewing my tongue which happens with each one), this one obviously was not as big as normally though as my muscles were not overly sore until the day after and nowhere how they always feel after, so that is a good sign. I don't think it would have been as bad if I was in bed the whole time (which I usually am).
I gotta say though I was scared to go to sleep that next night and I think it was because I do remember some of it and I remember feeling scared because I had no strength in my body and then woke up with a beat up head.
On the side that I hit my head, I can't open my mouth that much without a great deal of pain in my jaw and at where I hit my head.
So that is my little story. The thing is.... because my memory is still foggy of some stuff and I can't remember if it's been like this other times but I keep mixing up words. For example I tried to say activities and said activia, or May and I said March. Just little things like that.
Anyone else experience this in the weeks following a seizure?
Also the twitching in your hands, how long does it last for you?

I highly recommend you see your neurologist and have some testing done. Your descriptions indicate that you've had more than just a minor head trauma.
I also have injured myself during a seizure; thrice I have come around from a seizure and found I had scratched my face, causing co-workers -to speculate "who won the cat fight", and once I came to and found my left wrist resting on the heater which left a half-dollar sized burn. The ER doctor pulled the two edges together and sewed them up, but the remaining scar looks like I tried to slash my wrist at some point in my life.
But enough about me...you go see your neurologist. Now.

I did go to the hospital 2 weeks after my seizure. Turns out I had a concussion. Now have Post concussion syndrome and just can't get rid of the headaches. Still have the odd times when I go to say something and just can't get the words out. Still have a nice lump on my head also, a month and a half later.
Here's hoping this goes away soon.
