I've been divorced I guess about 2 years now. My exhusband
agreed to paying me 200 dollars a month for Spousal support,
and to pay 366 a month for Child Support. I agreed to give
him the home and land. The problem is he's and alcoholic
he lost us, the house and land and doesn't pay us any support.
I've been to court several times, because of this.
The problem is Christmas is here, he doesn't contact his
daughter. We always met at his sister's on Christmas. However
there has been so many ugly words passed by them that I am
feeling really uncomfortable knowing they still expect us to
come by. That side of the family feels that my exhusband
shouldn't have to pay spousal support because we left.
Yes, we left because he was drinking and was so hateful,
on top of all this, there was a girl he was drinking with from
the house next door, (she was suicidal and homicidal) She
was taken to the hospital, while I watched her baby, that she
wanted to kill. The hospital released her, My ex brought her
back to the our house. I called the law knowing she had been
released and was feeling the she was. The law asked my ex
where she was going to spend the night, my Husband at the
time said, "With me." So I asked my daughter if she wanted
to leave and she said"Yes".
Now after all of this, How do ya'll feel about me not want-
ing to go to the inlaws? Please Help Me!

Think of a new tradition to start with your daughter!! The first ever "Mother daughter Christmas tea" or something! I don't know how old she is, but be creative.
If shes older you can do a "mother daughter Christmas Cookie Collaboration" and make cookies for everyone you know that day. Or a "mother daughter make-over marathon" and give each other manicures and pedicures and up dos and such.
Who says you have to go anywhere. Spend the day together having fun and building your relationship with her.
Then cook a simple meal and eal junk food!
and Brave....wait a few years..until the ex-in laws see the true colors of your ex husband before you write off the ex in laws completly...the only reason i suggest this is because i was in a situation where my ex told my in laws that i had decided that it was better if the kids did not spend any time with them....and then told me that the in laws wanted nothing to do with the kids..sigh... after 6 years my middle son and i decided to call the boys aunt...we skipped by the grandfather as he never returned the phone calls nor did the uncles..sigh... but the aunt did..we have now become great friends and she is a wonderful aunt to the boys... we invite her to all holiday meals...etc...it is a great relationship...and the boys have not seen the ex in over 7 years now...
so perhaps somewhere down the line you in laws may see the true colors of your ex..i know mine did...grin..

The reason this happened is the hubby couldn't understand it.Like my family, he ran away from it instead of learning about it.If you have anyone who understands your sz,hold on to them.Besides my wife,I have nobody
