Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

here are some things that help with me for the ultrasound:
- wear something super cozy and warm, especially on the top half of the body where you'll be able to keep your clothes on.
- bring someone who loves you to sit in the room or hold your hand.
- do something loving and cozy for yourself afterward to support yourself -- a nice warm bath, going out for tea, a glass of wine.
- try to make a connection with the technician performing the ultrasound. be calm, clear, and friendly. make eye contact or shake hands if you can when greeting them.
- keep breathing, slowly and deeply.
- connect with whatever you believe in. god, nature, the magic of existence, the spirit of your ancestors, the love of your partner; whatever will help you feel strong and supported.
start the deep breathing and tuning into whatever supports your sense of well-being in the world while in the waiting room instead of numbing out with a magazine. i like to get as calm and centered as i can.
i find that some techs and hospitals invite me to view the scan on the screen, others forbid it. i prefer not to look even when invited, because i've had the experience of seeing something big there that i then had to wait for my doctor to call me days later to discuss. that was frightening. now i tell the techs nicely that i'd prefer not to see or hear what is happening and wait to discuss with my doctor, so that i'm not stuck waiting if i see something that concerns me.
heal well, sister. this too shall pass.
Whyme- I will make sure to take a motrin 800 :)
Whitedeer- Thank you so much and I will be doing all of these things. I just get really sore for the next three days that follow. On top of it all 2 days later I have to go to my sisters baby shower. Just what every person wants to do after trying for 3 years and having a ectopic a month ago :(
Life goes on though.
Thank you for all the support and I will keep you all updated :)
